Airlines

We'll be using two airlines for transportation to and from Australia.  Delta Airlines will carry us on the Atlanta-Los Angeles (LAX)/Lost Angeles-Atlanta legs of our flights, and Virgin Australia will transport us on the Los Angeles-Sydney/Sydney-Los Angeles routes.  Bus line service will carry us to and from Atlanta.  More detailed itineraries will be provided when available through the College's travel office.

Budgeting for Your Trip

As you budget for your personal trip expenses, here is a tip:

In thinking of souvenirs, keep in mind that many attractions -- and certainly some of those we expect to visit in Australia -- have online stores.  Taking a look at these online stores can a) give you an idea of the types of merchandise they carry, and b) give you an idea of what some items cost (keep in mind that the dollor amount given will be in Australian dollars).  So, for example, if you go to the web site for Australian Museum (the natural history museum in Sydney), you can get an idea of the selection of museum t-shirts or coffee mugs and what they are priced.  This can help you build your budget.  You can find links on this LibGuide to most of the attractions we are considering for our itinerary by going to the "Web Sites" page.
