Montgomery Higher Education Consortium (MHEC): Home

This guide provides information on the MHEC libraries: Alabama State University, Auburn University Montgomery, Faulkner University, Huntingdon College, and Troy University Montgomery.

Libraries of the Montgomery Higher Education Consortium

The libraries of Alabama State University, Auburn University Montgomery, Faulkner University, Huntingdon College, and Troy University Montgomery joined together under the Montgomery Higher Education Consortium in May 1997, to work together to improve library resources and services for the respective students, faculty and staff of the member institutions.

A primary benefit of the Consortium is that students, faculty and staff of member institutions enjoy reciprocal library borrowing privileges.  Consortium users may borrow (at any given time) up to five (5) items from each member library.  When doing so, users must abide by the policies and procedures of the lending library, and materials must be returned by the user to the library from which they were borrowed.

Consortium sticker:  Before visiting one of the consortium libraries, you will first need to stop by your own library and have a (gold) consortium sticker placed on your college/university ID card.
