Applying to Pharmacy School

You need to have completed 42 out of 54 credit points, or equivalent in these seven subjects (see link below) at university level before the commencement of the Master of Pharmacy degree. These subjects need to have been completed within the past five years.

One full, single-semester subject is equivalent to six credit points. These subjects are normally (but not exclusively) first or second year university subjects. Secondary school HSC subjects will not be considered.

Students offered a place are required to finish any incomplete prerequisites by the end of the first year of study. Applicants who need to complete more than 12 credit points of prerequisite subjects will not be eligible for a place in the Master of Pharmacy program as students need to undertake a full-time study load.

What you need to apply:

Required documentation upon application:

  • certified official academic transcripts
  • subject or unit of study descriptions (for prerequisite subjects)
  • certified copies of birth certificate or passport
  • copy of GAMSAT or MCAT results or GPA calculation excel spreadsheet
  • evidence of name change (if relevant).
