Traditional Haiku = 3 lines of 5-7-5 (1st and 3rd lines have 5 syllables; 2nd line has 7). Rhyming not necessary, nor really desirable. Be creative. Haiku must relate to New Zealand. Haiku should be centered on page (not left or right justified). Here is an example:
Long flight over seas
Past Hawai'i onward West
Aotearoa
